New Arrivals

Remember this Gunne Sax number from Violet Folklore? It's mine now!

Such pretty details and I love the color. Thank you ladies.
And as for the afore mentioned special guest appearance:

We have chickens! Three of them. The one on the right is Harriet (after Harriet Tubman), the rest remain unnamed as of yet. Any suggestions?

  1. Hooray for chickens! We have two, they aren't grown up yet though. One is named Scramble and the other is Bunny. I love the idea of egg-breakfast based names. Benny!

  2. How about Horace for the rooster? It sounds so regal, don't you think? I'm really excited about your garden & chicken ventures too :)

  3. Yay! I'm so happy to see you got your chickens! Oh and your dress too of course ;)

Chickens have been on our long list of things to add to the homestead for years now. I hope one day we actually make it happen. We've already decided on a spot for the coop, so I guess that's something!

As for names, all I was coming up with for the white one was "snowflake"... pretty lame I know, then I looked up at the photo above the chickens and thought, hmmm... what about "lace"? I dunno, that's all I got ;)

  4. Dress looks awesome! Reminds me of Vashti Bunyan on the cover of her Diamond Day album, though she wasn't actually wearing a gunne sax, just the rural atmosphere of the pic. How about Bunty for a girl hen?

  11. Girl, the dress was *meant* for your beauty.

Oh how far behind I've fallen on reading my most beloved blogs this summer. I am loving everything I'm catching up on here.

I am especially stoked on Elephant revival. THANK YOU. I love bluegrass, folk, and elephants! I am curious about their name, and adoring their little logo thing. Listening to them on MySpace right now.

Your dress collection is to dies, and I am honored to have brought some of them into your lovely life :-)
